Pastor Timothy R. Sharp

Pastor Timothy R. Sharp was born July 25, 1962 to the parentage of Mr. Earnest and Lettie  J. Sharp.

He graduated from the Waxahachie ISD, attended Colorado Tech University, Cedar Valley College, Lancaster, Texas earning an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and matriculating courses at the Dallas Theological Seminary.

Elder Sharp answered his call to the ministry in the year of 1993 at Davis Chapel Church of God in Christ, Garland, Texas under the leadership of the late, Elder Alvin Reeves, Jr.  After the death

of Elder Reeves, Elder Sharp was lead to return to his hometown of Waxahachie, Texas to reunite with the Grove Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent G. A. Pharms.   Elder Sharp served faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Pharms until he was called to Pastor the Lord’s Way Church of God in Christ,  Sulphur Springs, Texas.  During his tenure at the Lord’s Way Church, the Lord mightily blessed his ministry and after serving 20 years in Sulphur Springs, the Lord burdened Pastor Sharp with a labor of love to build a church in the city of Waxahachie for the Saints of God who were displaced and without a church home after the death of Superintendent  G.A. Pharms.

After being sent of God to establish the Rivers of Life Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, Elder Sharp’s mission was indeed accomplished when the church opened for service on Sunday, September 3, 2017.

Elder Sharp has been married to his beautiful wife, Judy A. Sharp for 30 years.  They are the proud parents of seven children:  Timothy Sharp, Jr., Katheryn,  Kimala, Isaac Laron, Colencia,  Tyler and Little Isaac “Bubba.”

Pastor Sharp has a love for people, a spirit of compassion, he is a man of character and integrity and he has a gift to touch the lost. Pastor Sharp has only begun the journey that the Lord has called him as the church family and friends move forward to the great commission the Lord has assigned to the man of God.
